Sensitive skin can manifest in many ways and is often determined by external influences. Signs of this skin state can be itching and redness, but also a permanent feeling of tightness or tingling. The culprit is the weakened natural skin barrier, which can no longer react appropriately to environmental influences.

OUR TIPS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
-
Make sure you take care of it properly
Sensitive skin needs particularly mild care. Try to avoid peels and excessive washing. It is best to use fragrance-free products without alcohol and make sure that they are pH-neutral. The fewer ingredients and fragrances, the better for your skin.
-
Adjust your routine
External influences often take their toll on sensitive skin. Therefore, even on cloudy days, make sure to protect yourself with a suitable sun protection factor and avoid long sunbathing sessions. When it comes to baths, too much water also damages the natural protective barrier and should be avoided.

Find out what's good for you
Whether it's make-up or skincare, there is unfortunately no universal solution for sensitive skin. Therefore, the motto is, try something new from time to time and make sure that the products have been tested on sensitive skin. For products that are supposed to conceal redness are often to blame for it in the first place.
Less is more – how to care for sensitive skin
"Sensitive skin is, to put it bluntly, the diva among skin states and yet it is widespread. Due to the impaired skin barrier, it reacts particularly strongly to a wide variety of influences, whether external or caused by the body itself. For this reason, you should be especially gentle with it and use products with as few ingredients and fragrances as possible, and preferably without alcohol. If redness or other symptoms persist, you should consult a dermatologist. Checking for individual triggers can also help, such as changing your current make-up or detergent. Your skin care products should be particularly mild to the skin and contain soothing, restorative ingredients such as Ectoin, SLM (Skin Lipid Matrix) or Glycoin.
